Writing Intercessions

Learn how to write the prayers of the people, sometimes called Intercessions. Once you have a sense of the format, it's a lovely way to deepen your own faith while serving the community.

The Book of Alternative Services (BAS) says "The leader of the Prayers of the People should use creativity and discretion in the planning of the intercessions and thanksgivings, and scope should be provided for members of the congregation to add their own petitions."
